Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 25, 2026
1. Overview
Analogr ("Analogr," "we," "us," or "our") provides a platform for documenting and sharing creative processes through media, conversations, and evolving collections of work ("stacks").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use, disclose, and protect it, and what choices and rights you may have.
This policy applies to our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process when you use the Services or communicate with us about the Services.
It does not apply to third-party services you choose to use through links or third-party providers (such as login providers, app stores, or external websites), which are governed by their own policies.
3. Information We Collect
Account and profile information: email address, username or display name, unique user identifier, and optional profile fields such as photo and bio.
Sign-in provider information: if you use Apple, Google, or WeChat sign-in, we may receive basic profile details provided by those services.
Content and communications: photos, videos, captions, comments, replies, direct messages, and group messages that you create or share in Analogr.
Support and account communications: information you provide when contacting support, submitting requests, or communicating with us.
Usage information: interactions such as views, likes, replies, navigation patterns, and feature usage.
Device and technical information: IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, locale, push notification token, and diagnostics (such as crash and performance logs).
Cookies and similar technologies (web): we may use first-party cookies or local storage for login/session continuity, invite flow support, security, and core functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies on the Services.
Third-party analytics tools: we currently do not use third-party analytics SDKs, pixels, or similar cross-service trackers on the Services. If we adopt third-party analytics providers in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, provide any required notice or consent options, and require those providers to protect data in accordance with applicable law.
Location information: we do not collect precise location by default. If you grant location permission, location metadata may be associated with captured media and related save/export workflows.
4. Purchases and Payment
The Services currently do not offer in-app purchases, paid subscriptions, or paid digital goods/services.
If we introduce paid features in the future, we will provide notice, update applicable legal terms (including this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use), and present any required disclosures before charges are applied.
Any future payments are expected to be handled by third-party app stores or payment processors. We do not intend to store full payment card numbers on our servers, but we may receive limited transaction-related details (for example, subscription status, payment confirmation, country, or billing event metadata) as needed for service operation, accounting, support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
5. How We Use Information
We use personal information to operate, maintain, and improve the Services, including where needed to fulfill our contract with you.
Service delivery and account administration: creating and managing accounts, authenticating sessions, enabling account security features, storing and displaying content, powering messaging and interactions, and providing feed ranking/recommendations and discovery features.
Communications: sending service-related messages such as account alerts, security notices, policy updates, support responses, and product notifications consistent with your settings.
Safety and integrity: detecting, preventing, and investigating spam, abuse, fraud, suspicious activity, and policy violations; and enforcing our Terms and community rules.
Operations and improvement: debugging, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, internal analytics, reliability and quality assurance, and developing or testing new features.
Legal and compliance: maintaining appropriate records, responding to lawful requests, complying with legal obligations, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
De-identified and aggregated use: creating aggregated or de-identified insights that are not intended to identify you for product, safety, and operational analysis.
Automated processing: we may use automated systems to rank content and detect abuse signals, but we do not currently make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, unless permitted or required by applicable law.
We do not currently use your personal information for third-party interest-based advertising, and we do not sell personal information to data brokers.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data.
With other users and the public: profile details and content you choose to publish may be visible to other users and may be public depending on where and how you share.
With service providers: we share information with vendors that process data on our behalf to support hosting, storage, media delivery and processing, infrastructure, customer support, security, and related operations, under appropriate contractual restrictions.
With platform and integration providers you choose to use: for example, sign-in providers, app marketplaces, or push-delivery partners, to the extent required to provide requested features.
With your direction or consent: we may share information when you ask us to do so or when you choose to connect features that involve third parties.
For legal, compliance, and safety reasons: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce our agreements, detect or prevent fraud or security incidents, or protect the rights, property, and safety of users, Analogr, or others.
Business transfers: if Analogr is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, bankruptcy, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction in accordance with applicable law.
De-identified or aggregated disclosures: we may share information that has been de-identified or aggregated and is not intended to identify individuals.
We do not currently disclose personal information to third-party advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices or choices.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain your account, resolve disputes, establish or defend legal claims, conduct audits, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable law.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required or permitted by law.
Residual copies may remain for limited periods in backups, logs, legal holds, fraud-prevention records, and system recovery archives, after which they are deleted or anonymized according to our retention practices.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can update profile details in app settings, manage permissions through your device settings, and control notifications at the OS level.
You can request account deletion through app settings.
If we send promotional emails, you can opt out by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. You may still receive non-promotional communications such as account, security, legal, or service-related notices.
On web, you can also adjust cookie/browser storage controls through your browser settings, though some core features may not function correctly if these are disabled.
Do Not Track: some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT interpretation, our Services currently do not respond to DNT signals.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data (data portability), and to object to, withdraw consent from, or limit certain processing. You can submit privacy requests to support@analogr.app.
To protect users and account security, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
9. Children's Privacy
Analogr is intended for users aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, and we require relevant service providers to apply appropriate safeguards when processing data on our behalf.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
By using the Services, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically about security, privacy, and administrative matters. Where required by law, we will provide notice of certain security incidents through appropriate channels (for example, in-app notice or email).
11. International Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in countries other than your own (including the United States), which may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards and transfer mechanisms for cross-border data transfers in accordance with applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will provide notice in app or by other appropriate means. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
13. Supplemental U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
This section applies to residents of U.S. states with applicable privacy laws, including California, to the extent those laws apply to our processing of personal information.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to know/access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain processing such as sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
As described in this Privacy Policy, we do not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not have actual knowledge of any sale of personal information of minors under 16.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf where permitted by law. We may verify both your identity and the agent's authority before honoring a request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. Where required by law, you may appeal a rights-request decision by contacting support@analogr.app.
